What kind of music do you like that you're embarrassed to tell others about?
For me I have a few. I really like some Falling in Reverse songs. The lead singer is a huge dickhead and his music kinda sucks now but I like some of his older stuff.
Also, I like a lot of scene music. Jeffree Starr's older stuff, Brokencyde, Attack Attack, and most shameful, Blood on the Dance Floor. I don't listen to their stuff as much anymore because I don't wanna support Dahvie. Admittedly, I like their music though. Some of that crunkcore piss music actually hits.
I like some hyperpop. That's actually grown more popular over the years but yeah.
And also, some 'performative man' music, like indie. Clairo, Laufey, Bebabadoobee, Cavetown, TV Girl, Girl in Red, etc.

I like Vultures 1 despite the horrible lyrics from Kanye and horrible general production and vocal performance fuck ups in the album.
[Also the whole album is about sex and shit so it's like the most boring flat ass theme for an album]
However I greatly value it for showing the progression in the general story and life of Kanye throughout his discography and as well as the production, that although shaky at times still has a consistent sound unique to the album itself.

Anything early 2000s-2010s pop music. Some embarrassing ones I'd admit is OMI-Cheerleader and stitches Shawn Mendes..songs like that.
I don't really know why I enjoy listening to it maybe its the nostalgic feeling I get I'm not sure.
However I was always embarrassing cause I like rock and metal and I one time admited to it to my friend at the time who was a big metal fan and I got severely mad fun of for it. I feel a lot of the people I met with this music taste thingk your only taste in music has to be that otherwise your a poser or something. Idk. Maybe it was just those few bad experiences I had that made me feel that way. But my boyfriends cool we listen to those corny songs for fun. Always nice to find someone who is like you lol.
I'm not severely embarrassed anymore that was more of middle school, but thought I'd share lol.

It seems like this music isn't bad but has associations with bad people
For me it's Alan Aztec and other random hardbass songs, it's completely different from what I listen to normally and hardbass is associatied with gopniks (Slavic equivalent of chavs) so it doesn't really fit radically leftist alt guy like me lol (if gopnik subculture hadn't died out they would beat me up)
Tho I agree about new FIR music
