BEAUTY STANDARDS

Beauty standards in 2025 are honestly some of the dumbest shit ever created. Like, the world is falling apart, everything is expensive, people are tired as hell and somehow the expectation is still to look β€œflawless” every fucking day. Who decided that? Who looked at an actual human face and thought, β€œHmm, needs to look more like a filtered cartoon”?

Half the time, skin just does whatever the fuck it wants. You wake up and your face has started a rebellion for no reason. And society’s like, β€œJust fix it.” Fix WHAT? Fix nature? Fix hormones? Fix the fact that I’m a human being existing on a planet full of stress and bad sleep? Be serious.

And it’s not just girls getting crushed under this bullshit. Boys get slammed with their own impossible standards too. Apparently they’re supposed to be jacked but not β€œtoo jacked,” tall but not β€œtoo tall,” have perfect jawlines carved out of marble, flawless skin, perfect hair, and somehow look like they lift cars for fun. Society really expects teenage boys to walk around looking like superhero action figures while eating cafeteria food and surviving off three hours of sleep. Be fucking for real.

And the messed-up part is how everyone is pressured in completely different ways but still ends up drowning in the same bullshit. Girls get told to be tiny, soft, smooth, cute, perfect, glowing, basically walking airbrushed angels. Boys get told to be tall, strong, sharp, chiseled, emotionless, walking action figures. And both get judged the second they fall even one inch outside the fantasy. It’s like society can’t decide what it wants, so it just throws impossible standards at everybody and expects us all to smile through it. Absolutely fucking delusional.

And then body standards overall? Absolutely feral. Everyone is supposed to have the β€œright” amount of everything at the exact same time so they can be hot but not intimidating, fit but not obsessed, curvy but only in β€œapproved” places, thin but not β€œtoo thin,” strong but still β€œsoft,” and basically shaped like a professionally sculpted avatar. It’s fucking nonsense.

Bodies are not build-a-bear workshops. Bodies are just bodies. People are different, and they’re supposed to be.

But beauty culture acts like being a normal human being is a personal failure instead of the default setting. It’s exhausting, it’s fake, and it needs to fuck all the way off. Like, literally get on a rocket and never come back. Maybe then humans can just exist, eat snacks, roll out of bed with messy hair, and still be hot as fuckΒ

Thank you so much for this blog, everything you said was right sadly , the society beauty standards are getting worse, and want us to be dolls with no souls, you know what, if ghe society want to called us " ugly " for not fitting their standards, then let them say it , and we said " I'm proud to be ugly" I mean the ugly they see in us it's an evidence of a long family tree that still extends
Please guys see the beauty on your faces because every human is a piece of art

That's exactly what I'm saying
If someone is automatically "ugly" because they don't fit the social standards (which most influencer pics are edited anyway) then the person who called them ugly has a lot of waking up to do
