Journal Entry #15 Those damn bastards left me here! I was ready for being stabbed, for being betrayed, or even eaten by the bear! However those right dickheads left! Cowardly adventurers! Unfortunately for them and fortunately for me, I am no slouch when it comes to fighting! Those bears will rue the day they messed with civil people who supply our hunters. Journal Entry #16 Cave bear, Large beast Strong built: Capable of toppling a tree. Not very fast but faster than my jogging pace. Not all that bright, susceptible to traps. Can see in the dark, spotted me in the tree while I stalked it. Total number: 12 Now that I know what I’m dealing with, it’s time I show off a little. Haha! Journal Entry #17 Journal Entry #18 Allow me to open this one with, FUCK. The plan worked almost flawlessly, about 6 bears fell into the pit. From my second position, I fired my bow and took down 4 more. Those last 2 hurt real bad. I don’t think they were bears, as after they got close I drew my sword. Yelled out at them to leave or face Charlie Hawk. They’re response? Ripped my left arm clean out. I’m writing this with my right after nearly killing them both. They were too smart, too strong, and I could really use a nap. If this is the last writing, I bled out in my bed. Update if I can. Journal Entry #19 I lived, and I’m mad. I was right in my suspicions, they are druids. Spotted someone outside my cabin wearing twigs in their hair. They were investigating my cabin and myself. Spotted them but made no movements, letting them think I was still asleep. Dammit, I dislike killing the people of the forest, but that bastard took my arm. I’m gonna rest up some more, bandage the stump of meat I stapled together, then go hunt an idiot dressed as a bear. I think I saw some herbs that make a healing tonic near the outhouse. Journal Entry #20 I’ve done all my necessary preparation. Brewed a healing tonic to stop the bleeding. I sharpened my sword and fashioned a bull whip out of leather cordage. The plan I’ve concocted was as follows; I will first use the range of the whip to take out the eyes of the druid. Once blinded I’ll drop the whip and slay them in their bear form. Once they’ve been knocked out of their transformation I will keep up the pressure and kill the first one. Once one of them is down I will threaten the other and spare them should they back down. If not, my sword will have already tasted one of them. I trust in my skill and talents and will bring justice to the humble hunters lodge. Write more once completed. Journal Entry #21 It has been 6 days since I returned to Raven point. I succeeded in slaying both druids, and claimed the bounty on all 12 bears. Much to the dismay of my prior group, in fact they drew their weapons when I appeared in the guild. Several backed me up saying how what they have done is cowardly. Killing me and faking a story would’ve been more acceptable than feeding me to the wildlife. At least this way I wouldn't have suffered a missing arm. Those bastards were kicked out and their licenses burned. I’ll probably see them again, and I’ll be ready. After all, they couldn’t even kill 1 bear! I’m working on finding a craftsman to build me a new arm or a cleric who can heal it back. Until then I’m going to be taking easier jobs. Teaching others how to win unwinnable odds in the many adventures that the guild provides. And to think, I only learned all that from a book written by my father!
