no excused absences at my school. zero.

i get zero excused absences from the school i go to, not even if im sick with a doctors note. i’m not talking about a regular public school i should start off with. i attend a technical school for 11th and 12th graders. you basically go there at the start or end of your school day for a few hours to take a class on a career of your choice (HVAC, nursing, computer engineering, art and visual design, etc). you take a bus going either to or from your regular high school where you do your normal classes. you have the option to do that instead of any special classes outside of core subjects. the only negative is that the only way to get an excused absence is if your regular high school had off and didn’t send a bus or if you had a field trip at your regular high school. that’s it. i am legit not allowed to miss any days of school. the worst part is that i work with animals in the class and a lot of what im doing is hands on manual labor shit. none of it is a work out or anything, but if i’m having trouble functioning in the first place? i’ve gone to school really sick a few times and had to call my parents to pick me up because i felt really light headed and couldn’t make it to my other classes after. it doesn’t make any sense to me and honestly idk how that’s legal. i can’t even excuse it in my head as a “getting me ready for the real world” type deal, because colleges and majority of jobs do give you SOME time off. not none. honestly, if the real world is just forcing you to work every single day no matter the conditions then i’d rather just end it tbh. i don’t want to be a slave to the system for the rest of my life. i hate american capitalism. can anyone tell me if this is dramatic or if i’m justified in my frustration here?
