analogy horror idea??

i have this idea where this guy disappears and he finds himself in like an overgrown sewer tunnel thing. he travels through the tunnel and gets to the entrance/exit when he enters a foggy forest. it smells of burning wood and decay, but there doesn’t seem to be a source.

he would travel through the forest, the fog practically swallowing him as he walks. then he finds a really tall figure, probably about 8-10 feet tall. it’s cloaked in black and the only defining features are the stone mask that it wears that’s carved to look like an owl, and the huge antlers sprouting from underneath the cloak.

i wanna expand on this idea more, but i don’t have the time rn to really invest myself into it.
