I saw the FNAF movie the day it came out and it wasn't that bad in my opinion, I just feel like the could've done so much better if they just made the movies based off the game lore.
(SPOILERS AHEAD!!)
If you are still reading this then you've probably watched the movie already, but beware of spoilers ahead if you haven't.
I really didn't like how the puppet was possessing people throughout the movie and it didn't really make sense, and if Michael Afton was revealed in the movie then who is Mike Schmidt? Also I think Ennard is already inside of Michael because of the way he was acting in the movie. There were many hints throughout the movie like Circus Baby being shown, Ballora in the music box, there was a lot. I'm just yapping but my main point is, I think that the movies could've been better if they just based it off of the games lore. Yes I know that it would make the movies predictable or whatever, but it would just be so much better to see what we already know from the games and the lore be adapted into a movie, I think it would just make things more exciting. I'm just sharing my opinion on here but let me know how you guys felt in the comments below!!!
How did you guys feel about the FNAF 2 movie?

Its a rlly funny movie to watch w friends thats for sure but I can understand the criticisms, bcuz like i mean yeah... some things were rlly stupid, yet entertaining so i still enjoyed it.
kiko!
I love when the lore for movies are different than the games. If not, we'd already know everything that would happen. And fnaf games don't have any coherent lore regardless LMAOO

I personally love the movie
I like how they differ, its an retelling of a story most love, I understand your disappointment about the movie and honestly you are valid in those emotions, even i have criticism for the movie and I nearly hyperventilated several times
Personally I dislike how the puppet is the Villain, she is supposed to be the one who gave life, even then from a pure fan standpoint, wonderful movie, I feel like all movies have one or two things anyone wants to change.
Maybe the next one will be even better, especially for you <3

I think the movies not having the same lore of the games is good cause if we're looking at solely the game lore, its not really that interesting to watch. Like Fnaf 1 is just "man sits in security office for 6 hours" and theres not much going on in the background to make a real movie. The second game at least has the bite of 87 (haha reference) that happens during the day shift but its once again "man sits in office for 6 hours and fights off animatronics". You could have the missing kids be apart of it too but then it leads into more of a mystery movie than a horror one cause now the focus is on the missing kids

i actually liked it but it wouldve been better if there was a 2hour long scene of me and fritz smith making out ( hes not even in the movie but idc )

Realised I got a bit rusty about the lore... I will get back into it. But the movie was very fun to me. I just expected more mangle screen time
I think the reason there isn't a lot because of how complicated they are! I cant imagine they would be easy to use at, all

Blumhouse is like the mcdonalds of horror, they distribute nothing but dogshit like all the time and people still eat it up and they somehow make a gazillion dollars off of every movie, it makes no sense.

Tbh it was fine. It wasn't excellent but it was enjoyable.
To be short (spoilers)...
1️⃣ Yes the puppet transformations were annoying, like, i wanted to see the og puppet more, not ones wearing wigs lol.
2️⃣ The lore felt a little messy as people have pointed out here, like Michael and Vanessa being related and fnaf 2 being the first restaurant and not fnaf 1 according them, and overall the whole mix they're doing.
3️⃣ The movie felt like a fanfic, it also felt fast and, like, just filler... at least to me, maybe my brain is too fried.
4️⃣ The ending felt very abrupt, I actually expected the movie to continue idk XD

I liked the fnaf movie, but the puppet possessing others part got me a bit irritated lol..atleast the animatronics were cool to look at, and the end credits soundtrack was insanely cool lol

honestly? i rated it like 3 and a half stars on letterbox. It was fun (especially because i was with my friend and she flinched 12 times) and might be better than fnaf 1 movie ! it is VERY predictable though, and the lore is really messed up. According to the movies, fnaf 2 (toy animatronics) was the very first fnaf? idk! its very confusing to me,, also why is vanessa and michael afton related? honestly, im starting to see vanessa as this self-insert in the afton family.. it just feels really weird. But when you watch it in the big screens, you get really hyped up haha,, so when i heard "im michael afton.." i was really happy. This movie made more references than fnaf movie 1 did.. Like the "I dont hate you, but you need to stay out of my way." was an actual voice line from puppet in the real fnaf games ! such a fun detail
it wasnt too corny,, but when the fnaf1 animatronics came to the rescue to destroy the toy animatronics,, it really reminded me that this movie targetted young audiences lol
You're right, the lore was very messed up, I thought maybe the 2nd fnaf movie would fix it a little or something but not really. In both the movies and in the game lore, fnaf 2 does canonically take place before fnaf 1. I'm glad that you enjoyed the movie though! It obviously wasn't perfect but I feel like it was good enough for the fnaf community to enjoy it.

I saw it yesterday and it was REALLY predictable but I liked it very much. I just think that it has a bad rating because it's not for everyone but just for the fans that know the lore and played the games. And in the beginning very little things happen and in the end everything just happens at the same time (like in the fnaf games). I liked the beginning and the puppet was really cool, but the possesion thing irritated me. It was also irritating that the toy animatronics could talk and they could leave the location with just a code that Vanessa knew...
But all in all it was very suspensful and i had fun watching it and would watch it again!
I just wished they also did a lore accurate movie:(
I agree!
