Oh. Yeah. Sure. This is fine. Totally cool.
It’s almost been a full year since I joined this site and begun my quest for a more fulfilled life. This included goals such as starting uni and making friends. (success) As well as spending less time on my phone/social media (eehhhhh… getting there.)
Sometimes I feel like I need to lock my phone away in an impenetrable box just to keep myself from crawling back to it for brain numbing purposes. You can call me a loser, I agree. I lay there at night with an anxious mind (probably caused by said phone) and then have to doom-scroll myself to sleep. EW.
Overall, my life is on the up, I reckon. I have things to look forward to, friends to hang out with… I am mostly excited for the boxing day Stranger Things binge watch I am going to do.. Chapter 2 Byler here I come.
I think I already mentioned it, but my family has been kind of struggling this year, money wise. It’s been tough for me because I haven’t been able to get a job, and then I started uni and I felt like I needed to be helping, to be contributing. Uni has been keeping me super busy and stressed out, and I just hope I can make it through ok financially until I can provide for myself.
OOOOOHHH the burden of not being able to provide for yourself at the big old age of 21. Sometimes I wish I was far away from home and struggling to get by, just so I could say I don’t need anything from anyone. Rationally, I know it’s not a bad thing to need and accept support, especially from your parents. But hey, I guess that’s just the house I was raised in.
I think that’s all I have to say.
Maybe I’ll post again before the new year, but in case I don’t, have a good one.

this is pretty cool that you went too uni and made friends there. I did the very same thing this year. I have a problem with the phone too, but lately I've started grabbing a book more often and it's been helpful, so you could try that.
I don't earn money either, my parents send them to me, but they say it's not a burden so I choose not to worry about it
That’s awesome, I hope you’re enjoying Uni too! I have been meaning to read more, I buy books and they collect dust, so It’s definitely a good idea.
It’s cool that you have such supportive parents! Going through school can be tough!
