this is really just me complaining but i hate how lolita seems to be the only style that is treated as a costume by some people? Even alt people i know irl called my coord a costume and honestly now it makes me want to wear it less often ðŸ˜
ive never seen this happen to any other style WHY US!!!!

I think its cause its so separated as a fashion. Coords are so cool, but since they are often treated as like an event thing rather than wearable everyday fashion, they get the incorrect identification of being a costume. Until the fashion gets more accessible in terms of like, the fabric being able to withstand walking around casually, the fashion will be seen as a special occasion outfit rather than a known fashion.
No shade to Lolita or Ouji fashion ofc, just my perspective. =P
