People who still believe in god intrigue me. How can you confidently say that there is a god and that he loves us, despite the war, disease, famine, violence, and chaos in this world?
If god truly exists, he must be a sadist. No merciful and loving being would inflict such cruelty on their children.

This is a good question. Why is there suffering?
Because God gave people “Free Will”, which means that he is no dictator. We are free to do WHATEVER we want. That being said, humans themselves create chaos, violence, war, etc. God did not create the world full of that crap. It is the doing of humans, and we cannot blame God for that. That is why He has laws like “thou shall not kill” or even no sex before marriage... if a child results from the sex, the child may end up with only one parent and no stability, which leads to an unstable human, who then creates an unstable society.
I believe in God, and I know that suffering sucks, almost inevitable. Darkness also plagues This world, and plagues the souls of humans. Which leads to the hell hole we live in.

Reality is built on perception and belief, religion can be used to cope with the absurdity of existence, it makes you believe that you're part of something bigger than life itself, cuz of this Belief an idea arises that, it's all god's plan, hence causing denial and ignorance towards travesties.

I think God only loves the good of us, so if your nice he'll like u, but if your really bad he'll hate u, think positively! :)
Must hate everyone then.

as someone who believes in god, or was raised to do so, i too tend to have my doubts sometimes. what you say is valid and is a genuine question many people have. I don't really have an answer because i dont think there really is one. At the end of the day, it all boils down to what you believe in
