Commander is a really cool format that is currently the most popular way of playing magic, so 

What's it about ????

commander is a 1v1v1v1 hour to 2 hour of pure magic the gathering fun. in this format you get to have 40 hit points and 100 whole cards in your deck, and no more, for the love of god no more it will anger mark rosewater if you don't have exactly 100 cards in your deck. it is a singleton format, meaning you can't use two times the same cards, unless they are basic lands or you're told you can like Hare apparent or Relentless Rats. but the most important part of your deck is :

Your Commander

your commander can be any legendary creature, and that's it (unless rule zero which means you gotta talk to people but i believe in you that you can). commander are really powerful because they are always available for you to use. they are always in this special zone of your board called the command zone, and everytime it gets killed, exiled ect... it goes back in that zone. there is even a special rule about them, if you or an opponent takes 21 damages from a singular commander you loooose.
