Internet boredom

Lately I've been feeling like there's basically no point for me to go online anymore.

Everything I see is just a replay of something I've already seen before. Feeding the boredom.

Many people are toxic or just plain anti social. Even writing this blog is like talking to a wall.

The more time I spend away from the internet, the more I feel like I'm wasting my time whenever I actually do go online...

It's a shame because it used to be a big hobby of mine for like two decades, or a majority of my life, but I think it's slowly dying. Maybe I've just grown out of it, or I'm too nostalgic for something that's long gone.

Well u can get other hobbies, it’s a start. The internet is not the same as it was perhaps a decade ago, everything feels more minimalistic and uniform, short form content is dominating every corner and all there is to do is doomscroll. You’ve done it for long enough, maybe it’s time for a break

Of course I have other hobbies, that wasn't the point. I was more complaining about the fact that when I do go online, I wish the experience would be more "rewarding" or whatever I should call it.
Maybe my biggest problem is that I don't doomscroll. If that's what they expect you to do and what the internet is centered around I understand why nothing interests me

That is understandable honestly, I can’t say much but I also wish the internet isn’t as boring as it is now. I think since it’s so easy access now, especially with smartphones, it feels less of a special thing now compared to when all people had was a family computer. Websites also had personality once upon a time ago. Now everyone’s shoving down the same thing into everyone’s throats cuz of money money money

Yeah that's true. Many websites these days look very boring :/

I have that same feeling, and I've seen some artists also talking about this. I think you're not alone in this. It's depressing to try to form any sort of connection on the internet (specially on social media) when everyone is just screaming. Everyone is screaming into the void about their own things, but I feel like we've forgotten that we can't just scream and hope to be heard, we also need to be the ones hearing. I would love to see more people talking about this topic

Nice to know I'm not the only one feeling like this (even though the circumstances are sad).
I hope it will get easier to connect when more people acknowledge the problems.

nah spacehey is just dead as hell and other social media suck ass

i recommend opening a personal blog and just speak to the void, even though there's no responses, it's still something to come back to and reflect upon later in life!

if you want friends though, the internet is prolly the worst place to find them now

True. The thing is that my writings suck, so I guess that only makes the problem with reaching out to people even worse. But it's worth a try I suppose ┐(´д`)┌

A lot of the internet is plagued by bots, people feeling like they are superior, and feeling that because they're behind a screen, they can just hurt other people which sucks. It's gotten worse in recent years, I hope it does get better though. I'm trying out this site and hoping it's not so bad :(

Yeah it's sad :/
I think Spacehey is better than other more popular social media, it's a lot slower but still keeps you entertained if you look around! May take some time to get used to the slower pace though (^^;)
