Problems with the camera camera

Hi everyone,

My lovely camera died yesterday. I picked up my Canon camera and saw Error 01. At first, I thought, “OK, I just need to clean it.” After cleaning it, I took some photos of plants and put the camera  back in place. But when I turned the camera on again tonight, I saw the same error. I cleaned it again, but the camera still shows the error. I searched for this error on the internet and found this.

"Err 01 is usually a communication error between the camera body and the lens — the camera is not “communicating” with the lens properly.

Another possible cause is mechanical damage inside the lens — very often the fault lies with a damaged flexible cable (so-called flex or ribbon cable) that connects the aperture mechanism to the electronics."

Now I have to go to Katowice to find a place where I can fix the cable inside the lens. I love this camera it’s old, but it’s a DSLR. I found the repair cost estimate, and it amounts to about 600 PLN.

I’m crying.

But what can I do? I have to fix it. I don’t know how I will get the money.

I will probably wait for my 3D printer to arrive and sell some 3D prints on Vinted to earn the money.

I’m asking what you think about my camera and how I can earn money quickly to afford a service.
