i was able to get one with a nnid iirc. there's cfw from pretendo that let's you switch.

yeah, iirc you just download the cfw from universal updater and make a pretendo account. the official pretendo docs say you don't need to "remove" your nnid or anything. you just open nimbus and setup a pnid from ur device. the only caveat is that it can't be the same username as your nnid. https://pretendo.network/docs/install/3ds
