The Fnaf 2 Movie : A Fuckass Review

attention: before i get to rambling there will be movie spoilers in this blog, its a movie review. so, click away now to avoid that. or, skip to the end part of this review to read more.

so, i just watched Fnaf 2 in theaters on opening night... and holy shit. ill start with the good specifically in the movie. it was ok, had some funny bits. i laughed genuinely about 3-4 times. i enjoy Josh Hutcherson's acting, as i also enjoyed his acting the first. i was happy Cory Kenshin made a comeback for a small scene which i found amusing. i thought the toy animatronics and the wither animatronics looked very good, the detail and design of them were on point. also, i liked Megan Fox voicing Chica, was kinda a nice surprise. also, MatPat did an AMAZING job voicing toy bonnie. and as always, Matthew Lillard did a great job too.

now, my particular dislikes with the movie. the overall acting was mediocre, it was fine but it didnt feel convincing enough. the movie has an approx 2 hour run time... youd be surprised how little happened in that time. it weirdly felt like if a fetch quest was made into a movie? the formula of "oh go save abby" just got a bit old quick, but it was whatever. i get the movies are not parallels of the games, but i love the games so much to where i felt just a bit disappointed. it does have some good tie ins to the lore, just wish there was more. there was a lack of good jumpscares- it got predictable at times. to be clear, i liked the movie but you can tell it was a sequel and it didn't beat the original movie. there was also just a lot of plot holes that were left unresolved or just didnt add anything to the plot. lastly, the movie ends on a bad cliffhanger. "tune in next time to see what happens" ahh cliffhanger.

overall, it was good but just lacked the same feeling of the original movie. visually it looked good, similar to the original. i thought it had some good tie-ins to the lore/games which was nice. id rate it a 6.5/10. if your a fnaf fan and liked the first one, you'll probably like this movie too.

All this being said, i have a one final subject to bring up. holy fuck, the fans. movie-watchers. fnaf lovers. WHY ARE YOU THE MOST ANNOYING FAN BASE TO ATTEND A MOVIE THEATER. id like to say ive been to the movie theater a lot, and following proper etiquette. you know, shutting the fuck up so i can watch the thing i paid 20 dollars a ticket to watch. so why in bonnie's blue ass do you feel the need to talk and point out every small reference in a loud whisper. "the purple guy!!"- news flash, we all fucking know. stop pointing obvious shit out. additionally, WHY ARE WE CLAPPING EVERY 5 MINUTES. i swear youd think youre on like a late night show where they give audience the que to being clapping. fuck, you might as-well play a laugh track. i get clapping at the end of the movie, or maybe even the start- but several times during the actual movie???? there was nothing groundbreaking that happened in this movie btw, it was a fnaf movie, nothing required a large amount of clapping. but for whatever reason everyone and their mother decided to put their paws together for freddy faznuts everytime he walked on screen. additionally, the movie had very obvious insert jokes that make the audience laugh.. idk if it was just the people in my theater, but holy shit why are you laughing so hard to where its as loud as the big ass animatronics stomping around. i beg of you, if you watch this movie in theater, if you have an ounce of humanity, be respectful to the people around you. its fine to laugh and have reactions, i went on opening night for the first movie and people had reactions, but nothing to the level of this one. maybe it was just the specific group of people, but most people there seemed to be around 13-27ish? teens and adults loosing their mind laughing over a dick comment gets so old so fucking quick. i love fnaf, i have for YEARS and anyone who knows me knows i love fnaf, but never has it gotten to a point where i feel the need to scream publicly in a dark room surrounded by strangers "its (insert any fucking fnaf character here)!!! theyre myyy FAVORITEEE". i had to endure some 13 year old girl next to me waving her arms frantically around to every song and repeating everything that was said in the movie. i was deadass hoping one of those animatronics would take me out via heart attack from a jumpscare so i didnt have to be tortured by these fans. im really not one to bitch and whine and act like a karen, but this is one of the very few times in my life that feels necessary of this rant. i think i wouldve ranked the movie higher if it wasnt for this horrible human experience. take this as a warning or wisdom, do not be a pain in the ass. for everyone's sake that has gone/is going to, i hope this isnt your experience. let me eat my overpriced popcorn and smuggled in candy and let me watch the stupid movie about murder robots in peace.

It is crazy to me that FNAF got a film adaptation even though I have never played any of the games (but probably should try them at some point before I get sent to the nether real or put on a giant cloud or something) and the closest I every really got to consuming a FNAF related piece of media probably was a couple game theorist video back in the late 2010s or a video about the developer. But them getting CoreyXKenshin the guy who infamously went off the internet to work hard on his book or something sounds insane. As for the fan base well I mean just look at those videos of people attending the Minecraft movie. There seems to be certain films that people attend to cause havoc and "goof" around whilst watching in cinema. And I presume a lot of the goofballs who are the reason why the Minecraft movie gained its infamy have been in attendance for many FNAF 2 showings. Also they are the fan base who infamously sent death threats among many other things to the creator of the franchise Scott Cawthon.
