my college experience has been rough. this is my third major switch, started college in 2021, and went on academic probation, then suspension, then dismissal from my original college. i finally came back to a full time semester this year (the last one i did was in spring of 2024) and i am so proud of myself. i went from a 1.6 GPA to a 3.1 (which will be higher once grades are finalized). and with one day left and two last assignments to turn in, i'm in really good standing.
i stopped procrastinating, used my planner daily, sat in the front of the class, asked questions when i was confused, and didn't skip a single class. i know all of this sounds simple but a lot of these changes were nerve wracking (except for the skipping, that was just me being stupid in the past). and now i will be finishing my semester with all A's, something i haven't achieved since 2022. i know this all sounds stupid; i dived headfirst into a major when i first started school (parental pressure) and i hated it. so i switched. and i hated that even more. why the hell did i go into engineering?? now i am majoring in graphic design, but only going for my associates right now. after all of this on and off of school, i wanted to start simple as there are systems in place to continue after i get my associates if i choose.
i don't really have anyone else to share this with, so i figured i would come on here and talk about it. i don't expect anyone to see it, but i am glad i am finally turning my life around to do something i enjoy. hopefully next semester goes as smoothly as this one did, if not smoother.

Hell yeah, dude! I'm proud of your accomplishments! You really kicked ass, now look at you, you are doing amazing out there, man
'm doing my best, but i am so glad it's paying off in the end. it was really hard, i live with my boyfriend and i never got to see him. i thought we weren't going to make it through the semester due to it. but things are looking up :) we both made sure to give each other plenty of time together when we are both home, and things finally feel normal again. let's just hope i can do it again next semester LOL
