What happened to my goats in Stranger things???

i may get slaughtered for this take, but i have to say it (If anyone sees this)

The writers RUINED Johnathan, Robin and Joyce. Let me elaborate, each of these characters since season 4 (and Joyce since s3) have turned into comedic characters. Johnathan, my goat---went from edgy, sweet and slightly perverse to an idiotic lazy stoner. Helloooooo???? I was deadass taken aback watching ST S4, cause---who is this???? Why was he used as comedic relief throughout like all of S4??? Now, in S5 hes just boring and still slightly lobotomised.

Robin. In S3? Funny, witty, quietly smart, a tad bitchy and confident. They NERFED her in S4. They turned her into a twitchy, "i talk too much when i'm nervous--oops i'm doing it right now, aren't i?", over the top and once again, idiotic character. If season 4 Robin didn't pmo enough, season 5??? GET OUTTTTT!!! Why did the writers do that to her? Like, i get that Robins is a relatively new character to the show and is only now kinda involved fully with the whole group. So, naturally, she's getting more comfortable with them--but...?? She is nothing like before.

Now, onto Joyce. She was in the top 3 characters in season one (personally). She was desperate to find will, talking to lights, she was kind but still hard headed and incredibly strong---which continued in season 2. Season 3 is when my eyebrow raised slightly. Her whole character was mostly based on her dynamic with Hopper and the fridge magnets. Also with the magnet scenes, they were always comedic, like, shes funny, lovable, crazy Joyce Byers--our little comedian. And they were FORCING her badassness when she kicked the mayor. And then season 4 shes still "funny". Its like they didn't know what to do with her character if nothing was happening to Will, like the reason she was so great in S1 and 2 was only cause will was in danger. Now, in season 5 i lowkey don't gaf about her, i'm sorry.

Anyway--sorry this is such a first world problem and embarrassingly parasocial but feels good to finally get that off my chest guys. Let me know ur opinions.
