ADS EVERYWHERE!!!!

  I’m probably the millionth person to say this but seriously there are ads everywhere!!!!! YouTube, Spotify, TikTok, and Pinterest especially. It’s getting nuts!!!! Even on my tv if I let it go into standby mode it will just endlessly roll advertisements. And when I wake it up there’s a bunch of promotions on the home menu. With YouTube if you even DARE to pause the video you’re watching you’ll get an ad you have to “X” out of. Don’t forget about the ones that roll before the video too. But if you choose to switch it up and watch it on a tv or any console it’s just over for you. They’ll give you a million unskipable ones that are like 7 minutes long and claim it’s cause you’re watching a “longer video”  IT’S TEN MINUTES.

Back to ads on social media, Pinterest just doesn’t care at all they’ll show you more ads than pins. I just pulled out a stopwatch on my phone to see how many I’d get scrolling for 10 seconds and I got 8. I’ve seen tons of videos of people putting an ad blocker on the website and half of their home page is literally just gone. 

TikTok is crazy too. Every few scrolls on my for you is a sponsored post. Don’t even get me started on those secret ad videos. Like the cheater buster thing, I just hit the not interested button every time a “cheating” story pops up because 9 times out of 10 it’s an ad. Even when someone makes an unboxing video they usually have a freaking creator earns commission thing at the bottom. It feels like every time I go on there someone is trying to sell me something!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everything now is just an ad or something that requires a subscription. Even printers.
