how did i do this you ask? well, despite WLM being unsupported since a decade ago, faithful netizens have hosted a public revival of the service across all versions!

visit escargot.chat and follow the websites instructions. (obviously this is for computers.)
download your prefered version of MSN Messenger / Windows Live Messenger, and either manually patch it (instructions are provided on how to do this) or use the supplied patcher. After this, make an account on the escargot.chat website to have a working login on your WLM client!

(pssst. they also offer Messenger Plus! installations too. however, turn your internet off after you have the setup programme, the company that offered Plus! was also defunct.)
