Consume Me

You consume me. I love it. Please never let me leave your grasp. I need you, and you know that. I’m so entranced by your ways; this is why I need you. The way you lift me up to a new high; this is why I need you. You transform my life every time I breathe you in. Every gasp is a new elevation, a new height, a new universe. You create that for me. You fabricate a whole new headspace I’d never known before. But, I know you don’t really care. You encounter a lot of people often, so I understand I’m not the only one you do this for. Although you leave for extended periods, I’ll forgive you. As long as I can have you to myself at nighttime, I am content.
