This is just a general experience I had growing up — a Gen X-type situation I lived through. I’m not saying all older people are bad, but there really are some who are mean for absolutely no reason. Like… I get it, you’re old, but that doesn’t give you a free pass to be nasty.
I had someone in my family who straight-up despised me. He’d constantly call me lazy and scream if I wasn’t up at 2 a.m. dealing with my little sister. She’s not my kid. I watch her for my mom — not for him, not for my stepdad. And the two of them love to act like they’re these big tough guys, always talking about punching things, hitting kids, and saying that should be “normalized.” No. Look at yourselves. You’re miserable, angry men who take it out on everyone around you.
On top of that, he’d make gross, sexual comments abt me or random YOUNG girls walking around and always had something creepy or rude to say. Meanwhile he calls me lazy, but all he does is sit around playing games or watching TV while asking everyone else to do everything for him. And then he gets mad that I couldn’t get a job — even though he was the one making me constantly watch his kids. Like… what do you expect? You want me to get a job to pay your bills? I’m not doing anything for you besides being civil. I respect you because that’s who I am, not because you earned it. But don’t twist it. Not answering your every call like I’m some kind of maid doesn’t make me disrespectful — it means I’m busy doing the things if i dont do you throw a hissy fit.
And calling me lazy? Baby, you didn’t finish school. You never had a real job. Your mom practically raised you for fifty-six years. You spend all day whining about women, and then proudly call yourself a neo-Nazi had a fuckin baby at 17.
Pick a struggle.
