Kids these days are growing up faster than before. Because of social media, trends, and what they see online, a lot of them feel like they need to act older than their age. Some don’t even get to enjoy being a kid anymore. There is more pressure to look a certain way, talk a certain way, and fit in with what everyone else is doing.
Growing up is normal, but it shouldn’t be rushed. Kids need time to play, learn, and discover who they are without feeling judged or forced to be someone they are not. We should help make a safe space for them to be themselves and remind them that it’s okay to take life slowly.

Honestly this is so true it made me tear up. I was one of those kids in question and right after covid I remember coming back to school and it was nothing like pre COVID. Everyone was so hostile and they cared too much about looking cool and talking cool. I don't remember wannabe gangster kids being there until after lockdown when tiktok, that stupid clock app took off. I never will use tiktok and never have but I genuinely think that's what made me start turning into what I am now. I never had a great childhood I was raised by the internet my parents didn't love me and was there for the brunt of elsagate but, hell I'm trauma dumping on space hey so it goes without saying but it was considered "uncool" to just be a kid after that. I think this was 5th grade. Things never became the same and now I'm a gore addict and still recovering from self harm. But thanks for this post that's a perfect little nugget of self reflection before I end my night thanks for reading my wordvomit wall of text hope you have a good day/night. (≧▽≦)
