HELLOOOO!! I recently realised we can pin blog entries on our profiles, so I thought i'd do a little introduction. Feel free to add me, I accept every friend request I receive! (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶)
Elara Vox is the name I use to release my music, so it's not my real name. I'm twenty-four (soon-to-be 25), and I released my very first song Heart on Hold last year (the link is on my profile). It's out on every streaming platform if you want to check it out :) I'm still in the process of finding my sound and I'm currently working on my debut album.
Here are some random facts about me:
- I live in Canada
- My MBTI type is INFJ
- I like turning popular songs into bardcore covers, 8-bit covers (with retro video-game animations that I create), or music box covers
- I have social anxiety (and anxiety in general, but who doesn't?)
- I'm a vinyl collector
- I like cute things (LPS, Calico Critters, plushies, ...)
- I don't have any pets at the moment (I recently lost my 8 yr old bunny and I'm still grieving her)
- I love watching documentaries about anything. True crime, nature, history...
- I'm more fascinated by the ocean than by space. I find it so interesting. Also, I love sharks :P
- I believe in ghosts/paranormal
- I enjoy painting and colouring

I love the name Elara Vox for your stage name!! I've been wondering is it like an alter ego or a character?? Or is it just a name you find pretty? :)
ILY thank u!! Honestly I chose this name because I wanted something original that still feels close to my real name. I saw the word ‘Vox’ on something while i was cleaning one day and it stuck with me. I also feel like it gives me more freedom creatively. Like it makes me feel like i can write about anything, make up stories, without it feeling tied to my personal life.
So I wouldn’t say Elara Vox is a full character/alter ego, but it kind of is in a way, if that makes sense <3

That makes perfect sense!! I never thought of it like that but I can see how that would be freeing!! Like it would make being vulnerable less scary too because your music will be tied to Elara Vox and not your name :)
