How do you start writing with a pen pal?

I’m a bigggg letter person, I absolutely love writing letter to my friends and family! Buut, as of late, I’ve been really wanting to write to a new friend!

I really want to have a pen pal to write to, but I don’t know where to find one / start writing :((

I don’t trust online websites much since you HAVE to give your address to the website before you even make an account, and like I know your address is a big part in writing to your pen pal, but still!
