After choosing a layout you might like, you then need to edit your profile and put the selected code (that should be shown in the code layout of the theme you might have selected) and copy and paste it into the "about me," after that you can put anything you might want there (´ ˘ `)♡
For everything else, just do what feels best to you, perhaps explore blogs or look at the profiles of others, become friends, check the forms ect, the possiblites are endless
