racists haven't taken a single sociology class

i'm still in highschool and even i know better than to be racist based on the statistics of "black people being a minority of the population yet making up a majority of the crimes" committed, its basic psychology and i genuinely believe racists who claim black people aren't educated are simply projecting. first of all that statistic has to have context, would i say all white people are pedophiles because white people make up the majority of child pornography cases? nope! when people think poorly of you and label you as a criminal, druggie, etc even if it's with no basis (which is done to black people every single day don't act like it isn't) you can subconsciously become those stereotypes because it is literally one of the first things you learn in sociology that you, very very often, become what people think of you. especially when this is paired with socioeconomic disadvantages, poverty, lower accessibility to higher education etc etc so when u see "thugs" in the streets and think poorly of them just know that ur contributing to it and you are causing more people to fall into this rabbit hole, 

also don't get me started on the changing of the word "ghetto." it doesn't mean a neighbourhood that black people and minorities ruined and turned into a shitty place, the jews in nazi germany lived in ghettos it's not just a dangerous and black-majority neighbourhood its a set residential area that is PURPOSEFULLY built terribly and dirty that minorities are forced into. the "thugs" u mock need help they don't need judgement, they need intervention and care and fair opportunities

so anyway moral of the story, stop generalizing a whole group of people as a collective because that just results in the group having a higher rate of.. being bad! its not pattern recognition it's literally just creating patterns then saying "look look i was right!" and if you're part of a group that is affected by this then .. idk try to ignore it and beat their stereotypes thanks bye bye sorry if any of this was offensive
