People should stop giving fucks about what other people ship. Why bash someone for liking incest / any darkships? As long as they’re not trying to get you into it or actively doing it in real life, who cares? Yeah, it’s weird (coming from a darkshipper), but why waste your words complaining about them? Maybe go outside and touch some grass. Grab some flowers and make a nice bouquet for someone. Contribute to the world instead of sitting in your room making others feel like shit for liking what they like.

Ehh i kinda have mixed feelings
like i'm against shipping weird pedo stuff, zoophile stuff and the like. sure there were some deranged people back then who were into that sort of stuff back then, but now that the internet hosts all SORTS of shit like that, I feel like more and more people can just easily fall into weird pipelines going to more and more extreme stuff until they actually commit a crime.
but as for why I said I had "mixed feelings"
i've genuinely for the longest time never understood why incest is seen as weird (specifically sibling x sibling)
like as long as there's no crazy age gaps, or manipulation involved. is there really that much problem besides birth defects and ig weird looks from people? There's boundaries for a reason, if siblings truly love each other, respect each other's boundaries, and don't have a weird power dynamic, is there really much difference than any other normal relationship?

Maybe i got a different take but lowkey i think darkshippers should touch grass. I mean i get kinks and fetishes thats different. incest, big age gaps/pedo shit, or even abusive or zoophilic things should not and never be something that is normalized. There is a reason why people dont like darkshipping, because its morally wrong. Just cuz its fictional doesnt change the fact that these dynamics are an issue in society as it is, normalizing it will only make people be worse.
These are still not a choice though! Just like you can't control having or not having a kink or a fetish, you can't control having or not having a paraphilia. It's way better for people with these darker attractions with fiction than doing anything irl imo /neu /info

Additionally, the "goal" of darkshipping isn't the normalisation of these dynamics, just like someone reading the big H man's book doesn't mean they want to normalise his ideas, even if they find it interesting to read.

You're right op! In the end, whether we like it or not, censoring this Will lead to more. Fandom history has proven that gay ships WILL get dumped in the "bad" category and get deleted as well. Fanfiction.net was a prime example of that. Plus, taboo fiction helps some victims cope. (my credentials? I study psychology and have taken an interest in how fiction affects people).
Can you imagine banning H man's book? No, because it's needed to not repeat that. Same thing. If we start on some topics, we'll end up scraping historic records because they "contain dark topics". It's a slippery slope.

Oh I did read it! But just saying "I don't harass people" doesn't men you actually don't, and considering how you worded things, I'm not inclined to believe that statement.
