A Tragic Love Story

With malicious intent you came into my life

you removed my brain and held it in your hands

you rewired some parts

and disconnected it from my heart

put it back in my head and left

Now I am numb

Was I only able to live because I was under your control?

you changed me so that I would fit into the roll that you wanted for me

I was your precious doll

until you got tired of watching me fall

because then I would crack and bruise and blister

and you could start to see my face through the facade and got scared

the truth was something both you and I could not bare

Without me you had nothing to live for

and without you I couldn't experience change

you hated the way the world was against you

and I hated the way nobody knew my name

You were drawn to me by the light in my eyes that wasn't there

and I was drawn to you by following the sounds of agony and despair

You were the solution to my loneliness

and I was the answer to your hopelessness

so when we met a storm cloud formed in the air

The thunder so loud it bursted our eardrums

the lightning scorching when it touched our skin

but we didn't care because the pain brought us closer

A tragic love story so great

like us together was fate

so where did it all go wrong?

Well like I said she was afraid

she understood I was starting to drift away

and fear will overpower love any day
