Thanksgiving twenty twenty five

For November it was another great month. Although I didn't get much poetry writing done. I did write inside my journal throughout the month. I kind of took a small break from it. A week and a half to be exact. I plan to do more next month. In the middle of this month we celebrated our youngest sister's birthday. It was her twenty sixth birthday. It was a small gathering with my mom, oldest sister and nephew. For her birthday cake it was apple pecan. It was okay in my opinion. Although my sister liked the cake flavor better than we all did. It was her birthday which didn't matter. I found that a bit amusing. Then again everyone have differences in opinions on things. Earlier that day at two pm we went to dunkin donuts. My sisters both order a medium iced coffee. Also my nephew had iced coffee. I remember ordering a medium pineapple mango refresher with a blueberry cake donut. Mom also had the same refresher drink. Later on we had dinner from a Chinese take out restaurant. We had shrimp fried rice with Singapore rice noodle. It was very good and a bit spicy I thought. I'm referring to the Singapore rice noodle dish. I've had that particular dish a couple of times before. A week later we was planning for Thanksgiving day. My oldest sister cooked dinner at her place. She cooked for us many years on thanksgiving. This time around I was cooking thanksgiving dinner by myself. It was good experience I thought. I cooked herb and citrus turkey, corn souffle, green beans, herb stuffing, macaroni and cheese. I also cooked beef short ribs with mashed potatoes. I actually marinated the ribs a day before. I had cranberry sauce as well. Plus Welch sparkling apple juice. I remember first drinking it back in the mid nineties. I thought it was fancy being in a champagne like bottle. I never had actual champagne. For dessert I made pumpkin and sweet potato pie. I thought the dinner and dessert turned out good. Twenty twenty five thanksgiving was very good. My mom, youngest sister and I ate dinner at five pm. I received calls from my oldest sister and brother. We spoken about the day and thanksgiving. I am extremely grateful how things turn out this year so far. From the move back in May to the first trip out of state to Georgia. I really liked the difference with things. I understand not everything will go according to plan. I appreciated moments with my family. Also that day I wore a vintage t-shirt of mine from two thousand and four. It's a long sleeve Betty boop shirt. I bought it from a store called dots. On the shirt it says " unless you're cute...keep walking". The message on the shirt is funny. A week prior I washed it with my laundry. Although I haven't worn it in twenty one years. It was in a storage bin along with other important items of mine. I remember first wearing it on January fifth in two thousand and four. It was after the school holiday break I recall. I was sixteen at the time. I know it sounds a bit sentimental. I was kind of reflecting a little on my teenage years. Then again that's life and changes bound to go with it. In other things to mention I had plans to decorate a bit more for the fall season. Instead I plan to decorate the first week of next month. Meaning for Christmas holiday decorations to put up. I haven't exactly thought of a theme. For earlier today I was getting errands done. I went to publix supermarket and walmart with my sisters and mom. I hope that everyone had a great month. And I hope for next month to be great as well. Peace until next time.
