Ok so, not so long of a post cuz I wanna go to sleep, but like, I did watch kind of all those animes you're supposed to watch (I started watching at 15, SO 5 YEARS HAVE PASSED), I DO NOT watch anime with a focus on boobies, sorry not sorry, I hate that you add unrealistic and unbeautiful boob bouncing for the 13 year old boys that somehow live in the bodies of some 30 year olds.
Anyway, when shit screams male gaze, I do not interact.
that led me to the most amazing animes ever, but now that I'm at that point where I watch the seasonal animes I can't help but be bothered by the plot some of this bitches have. HELLO???? ONE PUNCH MAN FOR WOMEN? I CANNOT EAT THIS UP LIKE BEFORE, I HAVE STANDARDS, I READ ARTICLES MONTHLY! AAAAAAA I'M A JUST A GIRL, CAN'T MY MANHWAS BECOME ANIME? NO CUZ I'VE ALREADY READ ALL OF THEM TOO.
I'm at a point in my life where idk what to do anymore... I just want a shit vampire show, I just want a cringe plot, but there are differences!!! and I see them! I want a good poop with sprinkles, not full on diarrea.

Frieren? hello? apothecary diaries but that queen stops being apathic to romance please, nothing wrong with assexuals, I just need anime characters to feel love for me to be able to proceed with my life.

as a grown man, i find it more and more difficult to watch anime about teenagers (ESPECIALLY when there's fanservice). I have been watching mostly older stuff lately if and when I do tbh. Some really cool stuff. Casshern Sins, Gunslinger Girl, Black Lagoon. Also seen some cool modern stuff that was recommended to me. Overtake!, Too Many Losing Heroines, and Zombieland Saga. There is just so much slop!.

huh, I was talking to a girl awhile back about the male-gazy type animes. can be prettttyyyyy hard to sit through for sure.
with the sheer abundance of mid-tier chum in the anime industry, it's pretty difficult to call myself an "anime fan", but rather a person whose favorite media happens to include anime. Like I can't really see myself mindlessly watching anime for anime's sake; I gotta get it recommended to me.
with all that being said, you can always go back like 10-20 years if the current season ain't it. I actually don't think I've kept up with a currently running anime since I was like, 14 or so. or maybe we just OLD and FRAIL idk
