Where to shop with an alternative style?

For a long while now I wanted to change my style to something that aligns more with my personality. I used to wear very chic clothing. Blazers and dress pants were a daily. But I want to go into a more alternative direction!Β

I made most of my clothes myself till now but I lack the time to do so, so I would love some recommendations by alternative/grungy/goth/punk/emo/anything else folks. No matter what subculture you are part of, please share where you shop!Β

I heard dolls kill is unethical, so I was hesitant to order from them. I ordered from Minga London aside from that, but I want a genuinely affordable option that's not fast fashion and that doesn't rely on exploitation.Β

PLEASE RECOMMEND STUFF ;-;

xoxo

If you're in an area with op shops/thrift shops, you can genuinely find so many cool alt things there, particularly if they are bigger second hand shops. I've found clothes from good quality brands there for really cheap prices because it's second hand lol, but also you can find things that aren't made by an "alternative brand" but can still be worn in ways to have whichever look you are going for. I live in Australia and used to shop at Dangerfield, Black Friday, and Princess Highway, but then I learnt more about what it means to be alternative and stopped buying first hand and I have found lots of things at op shops from those brands. Obviously not every time I go to one of those shops will I find something, but keep going and you will find hidden gems. :)

Thank you so much for your insight!! I sadly live in a small town where there are like 2 thrift shops in a pretty boring part of Germany ;-; so I usually don't find much...I've looked into online thrift shops but usually the prices go to outrageous amounts butttt I've been lucky from time to time! Thanks again! :D

If you live in Canada or usa you could shop at hot topic but it is pricey for good quality or try to find local stores
