Shippers in fandoms

I’m a shipper myself so don’t get it twisted, but I feel like SOME straight shippers have this really weird savior complex of claiming to be allies but then calling everyone who ships majority gay or queer ships a fetish haver, from what I’ve seen their logic is hypocritical and they change it depending on what benefits them most (from personal experience). A lot of them claim to be protecting gay people from being fetishized but in reality a lot of them are just screaming overtop of the community, I’ve always found it weird when a straight ally tries to make decisions for the LGBTQIA+ community because they’re not part of it. This is specifically about the genshin community as an ex-genshin player, it’s a gacha game so it’s bound to attract annoying ass people anyway.
