-- so i joined the Hetalia fandom quite late, like last month or so! And lowk i wanna ask any og Hetalia fans, how bad was the fandom back then?
-- like i fr heard horror stories like ppl taking picture with cosplays at places to honour the horrors that happend in a country or wtv so i must know, is that all??? Or is there more idk abt?

I’m not a veteran fan but it is true that there were a couple of incidents like that. In one of them a group of cosplayers did nazi salutes during a cosplay convention, and in another one a Germany and Prussia cosplayer posed in front of a holocaust memorial doing the same pose. Of course not all Hetalia cosplayers were like this and these incidents were condemned by the rest of the fandom.
