Rose and Petals

So pretty and calm

Set these petals on my palm

From this gorgeous rose

That's the flower I chose

They have a lovely smell

Watching as the petals fell

Yet they die so young

Fill me up to my lungs

They don't know why I chose this flower

Walking to the top of this tower

Take a breath with a smile and glee

I now felt free

Let my hair down

Can't help but cry and frown

Is it really worth it all?

I must finish it with a fall

I will surely miss them

Lie to them until then

This isn't what I asked for

Life is too much and I can't handle more

Take a big leap is what they say

That won't make me stay

Can't handle too much pain

The red liquid leaving stains

The red matches this lovely rose

Always remember that's the flower I chose

Make sure to cut those thorns

Mind as well break my bones

Gosh I hate that damn flower

With all my might and power

Rip it up with nothing but shame

Life feels like a game

Wrap this crown on my head

All I feel is nothing but dread

Gosh I hope I wasn't feeling dead

I only see the color red

The pain I've done on my arms

It's only done nothing but harm

The red reminds me of roses

Meaning pain is it's beauty

Walking on roses is like glass

Can't help but remember it's past

The smell is yet so nice

And the it's thorns can be the spice

Jump with smile and glee

These red roses feeling free

Red liquid like the rose

And that's the flower I chose.
