performative people piss me off and i hope they rot in a special place

see were all performative to an extent because guess what were humans!!! but theres always those people who claim to be soooooooo niche, those people who claim to loveeeeeeee (insert "nerdy" thing) its so fucking annoying, especially when they mischaracterize characters, say "im literally (insert character that they know nothing about)"

dont even get me started with people who copy others because they can't form their own personality..... theres nothing wrong with liking the same things as someone or getting introduced to something but its so annoying when they act like they liked it first, as if i didnt introduce them to said thing...... I HATE WHEN PEOPLE DONT HAVE THEIR OWN THINGS THEY LIKE!! WHEN ALL THEY DO IS JUST RIP THE SKIN OFF OF OTHER PEOPLE TO FORM A PERSONALITY OF 5 DIFFERENT PEOPLE WHO ISNT EVEN YOUR TRUE SELF!!!

its so funny when people claim "oooooooosiuhahds i dont listen to popular things i only listen to niche things!!!!!" like yeah me too, i dont listen to taylor swift or something like that i just like what i like and that happens to not be pop or country!! but the thing with these people they claim theyre sooooooo underground and then their spotify wrapped says "1. deftones 2. nirvana" or something like that like no you're not niche, you're just a performative person who tries to seem cooler to impress people you barely know. and the funniest part is no one cares.
