And let's remember that many parents have been complaining about the use of Family Link, which is causing a distancing between parents and children. Shouldn't this be a problem? For some reason, parents ignore it and do more and more of what their children don't like. My example: I have a family link and I'm a child. I had to spend almost two hours talking to my mother and explaining that what she was doing with this family link was very wrong and was ruining our lives.

kids should have their internet usage monitored by parents. parents supervising how you use the internet isn't a lack of trust, it's being a responsible adult. digital privacy isn't a right children have when their frontal lobes are still undeveloped.
It's really good for kids, but not when we're 16 and still using it.

I feel like if the parent was really that considered; they would take the child's phone and go through it themselves. I know some people will argue saying that builds distrust between the child and parent, but its possibly the most effective way I can think of.
