Honestly, it's ruining my life. I can't do shit at all unless I'm extremely interested and passionate about it. I'm supposed to be in college rn but I can't for the love of god bring myself to apply.
figured I'd ask other ppl with ADHD how do they manage since talking with neurotypical ppl about it is a nightmare
like how do u force yourself to do an undesirable task, how to keep friendships and relationships (they feel like tasks to me despite enjoying talking to ppl), etc...
spell y'all's methods and secrets, what worked with you the most???

I'm not the best at this either, but I've found one or two ways to help myself study.
The first is paced studying. Give yourself maybe fifteen minutes of study and fifteen minutes of free time. Keep swapping these out with very small bits of dopamine during the free time and eventually pile up an hour of study.
Or, if that doesn't work, I find that getting myself a treat (like M&Ms or Skittles) and only letting myself have one after I have finished a question can help.
And if BOTH don't work, you can try body doubling. I don't know if that is the exact term, but it can help to have someone on call that checks in every now and then to see how far you've gotten. No one judgemental, just someone who care and can check in.
I do these as well. work sometimes and sometimes not. thank u that was very helpful
