The first day I made my account i had someone message me and they asked me if i had an external website account, i said yes and gave them my info for that website and they just completely ghosted me.
and no i didn't get any sort of request from them on that website.

I see everybody talk about it being boring etc and I get it and all but its so upsetting when I go to add them and they never comment on my stuff eitherrr 3 cry thats why I only subscribe to blogs nowadays and dont add people

It used to be more active in the early days but now yeah, I've seen a lot of gen alpha/even my fellow gen z on here that recently join and talk about it being boring and almost expecting the algorithm to be like other social media where they show you what you want and a few talking about abandoning ship after a short amount of time without doing anything on here maybe that's why

Of gen alpha? Like 15, they begin in 2010 so yeah but I've also seen growing number of 12 year olds on here too

personally I think yeah as long as you're very active. I think it does take a bit of time for recent things to get clicks, plus there's a large user base so things are bound to slip into the void. I think interacting first is probs the best way to go about things + being consistent!
Yeah. honestly I also think a lot of people don't know how to truly use a social media service like this as well which aids in stuff slipping through and a lot of posts not being seen

agreed, it doesn't really help with a large base of the people here happen to be in their tweens/very early teens so once they make a cool profile they just drop it and go back to doomscrolling lol, I do wish the connection/activity was stronger! but once you find a good group of active people it gets better for sure
