I remember every day getting on and playing with my sister doing the quests and stuff, it was the best thing ever, decorating my house and just interacting with people, it even taught you stuff, but now it's dead and not the same anymore :c

THIS!! i feel like the most noticeable change in the current state of the playerbase, is the intense focus on trading instead of the fun stuff like,, actually roleplaying and fashion shows?? those were the biggest pillars that held up the fandom :(( now its all about micro transactions and cosmetics. like, theyre RLY doubling down on tokens and gambling for pretty pets ;-;
they added the stupid gambling shit?? i haven't looked at it for a few years, didn't know it was that bad, sounds like its going the roblox route.

definitely. I mean, atp theyre prob js gonna copy whatever is popular now, considering that wildworks did an nft game similar to animal jam during the nft boom,, xP I sensed the quiet withdrawal from national geographic ever since they stopped updating the small animal facts into the game, but the nft project rly nailed the coffin for most of the og playerbase

I still have hope for a game like og animal jam to rise again tho. Theres probably a few already out there but with a tiny fanbase rn!!
