I just like friending people who have the same interests I do, but I just don't wanna talk to them, it's not because I don't like them or anything I just think it's nice that I actually know people who like what I like!(sorry if that makes no sense)

coming from a non-friend collector (i will never have 100+ friends, and when it gets too close i clean out my friends list a bit)... i friend req/accept ppl because i think we can be friends. but im genuinely the worst convo instigator on the planet

if you IM me first, i will respond and further down the line i will be messaging full paragraphs lol
but somehow i still cant get myself to do it first.
ik a lot of ppl say the same thing but its like a mental block, like idk how ppl react if i msg first, maybe they dont even wanna talk.. ik nothing abt them except their profile. but when someone does it first, ik that its ok to msg because they are inviting a response back, iykwim.

hey dude... i get wanting to chat with people but i don't think ppl not wanting to have a conversation or comment is the worst thing in the world and it's like if people have something to say they will... i don't think that people not chatting with ya is out of malice...it's the internet and people are hesitant most people are new to space hey and are use to running into constant weirdos so i get not saying things... i personally dont really care i post bs all day and well i get no engagement but that doesnt make the web less fun yk

No this is so real I got sm requests when I first made my account but like nobody really talks to u idk some ppl do. Ur a lot of ppl are just there.. I thought this was a cool place to talk to new people but if u have no posts or barely anything on ur page and then u add me and say nothing like what’s the point

I friend people all the time because they seem cool and like someone I'd get along with, but then either I can't figure out what to say or they never respond after I message :')

I didn't know that was a thing and I def get your point... but, idk, I think the hate is unnecessary??, like, shy, socially anxious or just introverted people in general exists man. Not everyone adds with the objective to inmediatly interact with the user or sum, y'know???
I totally agree, I add some people to talk with them later, to know who got my interest, and to let them know they can talk to me whenever they want. But I guess I understand it can be frustrating
