Happenings of Today

I know this site is built on trying to LARP as a teenager from the early to mid 2000's, but I already lived through that shit, so I will continue with my "boring" day to day life blog entries as a person living in 2025's nightmare.  

Next week - the water softener installation will occur, I am also getting an iron filter. No more extremely hard water and iron stains on everything.  The reality of living on a well.  

One of the chickens is sick, and is currently living in the bathroom while she recovers.  It appears to be some sort of cold virus, and I must stress that it is NOT avian influenza, or she'd be dead by now.  I think it's bronchitis. Chickens shit a lot, so I've fitted her with a chicken diaper of sorts.  Yes, I am aware of how absurd this sounds.  

I have the day off today, since I worked so much overtime on Monday and Tuesday. On those days I flew to Halifax for work, and the flew back home the next day.  Seems ridiculous to fly out to a location for such a short time, but hey, the company pays for it all.  

Today I'm mostly relaxing, getting odd jobs done here and there, and working on my international bird list (the list of all bird species I've seen) to get a species number.  So far the list is just over 300 species, but it will climb as I go over my lists.  

Listening to over-the-top black metal while I putter away at things this morning.
