blog 01 — two facets

Destroy my desires, eradicate my ideals, show me something better, and I will follow you.” — Fyodor D.

November 29, 2025

I love it when people often reveal themselves to be vastly different from my initial assumptions, diverging from the first impressions I held. Of course, I do not indulge in the folly of forming expectations about others; I regard such behavior as rather foolish. I just observe them over time, gradually familiarizing myself with their distinctive personality traits. The first impression I have of a person is simply the version they choose to present to me, rather than an idealized image I have constructed in my mind. Regardless, the essence of the matter is this: when I find that someone is entirely unlike what they have portrayed to me (not necessarily in a negative sense), what should leave me disheartened instead piques my interest. I could never have imagined you in this light, and that enthralls me.

What a delightful experience it is to uncover unexpected truths about another; indeed, it is the unpredictable souls who are the most captivating.

The experience of getting to know another person is a source of great excitement for me; if someone intrigues me, I desire to know all there is to know about them. There is nothing more thrilling than discovering that the personality they initially presented was, in reality, a façade. I am fascinated by these people, I'm eager to learn more about them, to reveal what else they keep hidden, what their true identity is. And even if it is deplorable, I am impressed by their ability of hiding it.
