Taking care of yourself

Being able to sit down for a couple of hours just treating yourself, be it with your favorite food, movie/show/book/ect, and just doing things like trimming and/or painting your nails, using face masks, or using body creams, specially after a bath, is one of my favorite things, and probably one of the privileges I'm most thankful for.

It's a great way of connecting with yourself, mentally, physically, or emotionally, plus, it also resets you in a way, giving you time to truly settle yourself onto the moment without having to worry about what happened today or will happen tomorrow. I'd say it works perfect before bed, since it calms your nerves down and relaxes your whole body in general.

So, if you're having a bad day or week, I really recommend you take some time to yourself and do something like this, even if it's just a simple evening spent doing something you like with your favorite meal. Show yourself some appreciation for everything you've done, even if it's just something as basic as breathing and living, your brain and body do a lot for you on a daily basis.
