If you have been involved with fandom culture, or have literally been on the internet within these last couple of years, youβve heard of people claiming to be a certain characterβs from a show, video game, or movie, #1 fan. Iβm not blogging this to complain about people who do this. Hell, I literally do this myself with Frylock. But I do have a question revolving around this stuff.
What happens if there is multiple #1 fans of one character?
An example of this would be a character like Shadow Milk Cookie from CRK. This fucker has a HUGE fan base on multiple platforms (like TikTok, YouTube, and X/Twitter). And on Tiktok alone, Iβve seen 10 accounts claiming to be his #1 fan. Yet, there canβt be 10 #1 fans of Shadow Milk at once, it doesnβt make sense. There hasΒ to be one fan that is truly the #1 fans of Shadow Milk Cookie. Yet, how do we even figure it out who is that fan. Do we hold a duel or competition between all the fans to figure out who. Or, do we just spin a wheel and let that decide.
Let me know down in the comments on how you would find the #1 fan of a character, or just your general opinion on this topic
(Also, this is purely satire, I just want to see peopleβs opinions on this)

honestly i think about this a lot and sometimes i think about it like those selfshippers that are nonsharing and i wonder how many people unfriend mutuals or get into arguments over whos the bigger fan
jamari!!
coming from a self proclaimed #1 fan of a character, funnily enough i think it would be difficult- if not impossible- to actually dub someone the ultimate fan/liker/whatever. because how would one go about actually ranking devotion into measurable quantities ??
i think it would be unfair to use a monetary metric (how much money someoneβs spent on them/merch/etc) or just how much they talk about or advertise or broadcast their affection (because true fondness doesnβt always need to be verbalized).
people can express their love and enjoyment in all sorts of ways, but i think at the end of the day, the only person who can really know how much someone loves a character is just the person themselves lol
