“You’re a person of great heart and great character, and that combination will always win the day.”
As I was watching one of my all time favourite shows, I came across this quote, and it genuinely stopped me for a moment. It made me realise how, these days, having a kind heart almost feels like it isn’t enough anymore. It’s like people care more about ur image and popularity rather than having real raw emotions or genuine intentions.
And if you’re someone who feels deeply and cares genuinely, it can be upsetting to see how real kindness gets overlooked, how quickly genuine people get replaced by whoever seems more “cool” or “interesting”.
sometimes it feels like the world has forgotten how rare those people are. being genuine will always matter even in a world that doesn’t always treat it like it does.

tbh, to me, it's more meaningful to be seen as a whole person by someone that cherishes u genuinely then to be reduced to an accessory by people that don't even try to know about you.
it's quite difficult to maintain a friendship these days considering the configuration of how society and the economy works, but what makes my friends special to me is that we make our own ways to be together and be there for each other, like exchanging letters and cooking together.
I hope everyone gets to experience real friendship
