sooo i got around to practicing my makeup today and i think it actually came out pretty decent?! still not my fave face, but i'm slowly starting to understand the fundamentals of makeup and how things work together. most of the products i used for this look were of different brands: danessa myricks, nyx cosmetics, covergirl, maybelline, and sheglam "brightening" powder. i even managed to get my contacts in this time!! i was right in thinking they make my "dead fish" stare a little more bearable, but i still don't know what to do with my face in selfies, sawry (/▿＼ )
first pic is with my sony a6000. i need to play with the settings to make my pics look less dark.
i took these next two with my iphone 11 (back, then front). i look a little scary with my eyes open so wide, but i like the way they look with the contacts!! (´｡• ᵕ •｡`) ♡
these last two are just me being silly.
hopefully i can learn to take better selfies (ᓀ ᓀ,,)
points of (dis)interest
my main critiques are that i look too shiny instead of matte, my blush is too pink (should've used coral imo), and my blending needs some work!! there are areas i blended well, and areas i didn't, making this look a little inconsistent the longer you stare at it, haha!!
my eyeliner was really good today, but my lashes are NOT properly blending into it — the band is a little visible ▓▒░(°◡°)░▒▓ and while we're talking about them, this fox eye style is not dramatic enough for a gal look. i should have stacked two strips (`ヘ´) i'm also not sure how i feel about the bright shadow in my inner corner. maybe i should extend it toward my aegyosal?
despite highlighting my face with concealer, it doesn't look like i did it at all!! but my nose contour came out pretty decent (´-ω-`)
now, the concealer lips... i think i used too much concealer, making my lips look way too brown instead of nude pink. that's my fault tho, i was rushing ( `ε´ )
overall, i'd give myself a 6/10 — good enough to pass, but needs more work ౦０o ｡ (‾́。‾́ )y~~

aww thank you!! I know what you mean tho, it’s why I stay away from eyeshadow XD fortunately, eyeliner is the one thing I’m actually pretty decent at — depending on the day, of course. I have shaky hands, so sometimes my lines come out squiggly, but since I’m wearing bottom lashes, nobody can see that Xd
