let a blingy pink girl give you nu metal album reccomendations...

let me just start by saying i'm the opposite of a gatekeeper, so if you're gonna be annoying about me suggesting more underground bands click off now 

ok... now that the LOSERS are gone, let's get into the recommendations!!

we're gonna start w/ mainstream essentials then get down into my personal favorites!

1. koRn - life is peachy

don't throw tomatoes at me yet!! this album is one of my favorites because it's a good intro to start to show you what nu metal is about... (plus it has a.d.i.d.a.s. on it...) if you like deftones already, this album is great because your guy is on it!! my top songs on here are chi, good god, wicked, and swallow

2. limp bizkit - significant other

limp bizkit definitely isn't for everyone, but this has songs on here that you recognize for sure!! it was hard to pick between this and "the chocolate starfish and the hot dog flavored water", but this one got my pick because it's got classic stuff like nookie, and the basslines are heavenly (rest in peace sam rivers), it's a very fun album to listen to! my top picks are break stuff, just like this, re-arranged, trust? and n together now

3. linkin park - hybrid theory

this album just has banger after banger... it's almost a no-skip album for me! they have such a great sound, and they're probably the most mainstream you can get with nu metal LOL... they're this popular for a reason though! my top picks are with you, by myself, cure for the itch, and papercut

4. snot - get some

arguably, snot isn't nu metal, but this is my blog post, so i'm going to include them... sorry! this album has some nastyyy basslines, and lynn strait has such amazing vocals (rest in peace), so it definitely deserves a spot on this list. this is definitely a listen all the way through album though, so this is definitely for you if you're an album listener!! my top picks are stoopid, joyride, snot, i jus' lie, and the box

5. primer 55 - introduction to mayhem

this album was definitely what got me to jump over the edge and get more into the genre... it's pretty hit or miss though sadly. but the hits hit hard!! my top picks are violence, set it off, supa freak love, and loose

6. kittie - spit

we've got an all girl band!! i love this album so so much, it's got some really good stuff on it. i feel like everyone's heard brackish, but there are other great songs on here too. my top picks are spit, brackish, jonny, paperdoll, and do you think i'm a whore?

7. static-x - machine

again, people argue about the validity of the claim that static-x is nu metal, but i'm going to say it is for the sake of the blog! this album is so good, it definitely sounds like the album cover looks, if that helps with imagining the sound lol... my top picks are permanence, otsego undead, this is not, and cold :)

8. saliva - every six seconds

your dad definitely loves this album... this is the kind of album you pull out of your cd folder without thinking, and it definitely becomes one you gravitate to more. my top picks are doperide, your disease, faultine, and click click boom

9. Mu Dv Ay Ne - L.D. 50

i love mudvayne, and the sound of this album is so insanely good too! my top picks are dig, nothing to gain, golden ratio, and everything and nothing

10. drowning pool - sinner

let the bodies hit the floor, let the bodies hit the floor... you get it. my top picks are bodies, pity, and follow

11. slaves on dope - inches from the machine

i love this album so much, it's one of my favorites of all time!! i'm running out of things to say about these bands, but just know that these are all strong recommendations! my top picks are pushing me, bitch slap, stick it up, and no more faith

12. nervepitch - ...my sombre existence...

an essential album in my opinion... my top picks are torn apart and stitches

13. folder - keep the flow

this album is really good except it's got a ton of features lol. my top picks are cut the belt and closer

14. nothingface - violence

ohhh yeah, now we're really getting into it.... my top picks are dead like me, filthy, and bleeder

15. 18 bonez - 18 bonez (EP)

im genuinely heartbroken that this ep only has four songs and that's like their whole discography... i love this ep so so much it's so solid where did you go 18 bonez... my top pick is drinks

16. gazzoleen - tinybears

i really like this album idk... i made a patch based off of it if that means anything lol. my top picks are filter and like 2 die

17. perfect nothing - the black dahlia

oh my heck i loveee this album yaayyy my top picks are another january, bruised face, and charcoal

18. 616 undone. - love lies bleeding

album i like yaayyyy i love it ok my top picks are fetish and blame

19. shun - michael in reign

this album sounds really pretty, it sounds how it looks lol... my top picks are glass to sand and piece by piece

20. malachi crunch - analogue

this album definitely sounds like it was made in 2002 (it was) ok my top picks are pissed, burn, and push

21. arizing - womb

are you really reading all of my recommendations? my top picks are floater, 540, and consumed

okay thats all of my recommendations for now!! i don't really give a gaf if you think they're nu or not that's an argument you can have with yourself... also if you immediately commented after seeing koRn at the top i'm gonna laugh at you lol!! also sorry i got lazy toward the end this took forever to type out and my thoughts on all these albums are the same + a lot of nu metal can sound similar lol. if you skipped to the end to be more niche than everyone else just know i know and yes malachi crunch and arizing are peak i know that's why i saved the best for last
