Kaigai Idol Concert Blog!!! (Lulu Bitto birthday concert)

This past Sunday, November 23rd, was Lulu Bitto's birthday celebration concert!! She's a Kaigai Idol from Colombia, and this is a blog post about the experience

The theme was circus; last week she also released her new song, "Yura Yura Is Endless"

Yura Yura is Endless!!

I bought the VIP ticket, the event started at 4, where they gave us a "Top Cyten" card (Name of her fandom)

The scenery was very similar to underground idol scenery in japan, with a small stage; I think she mentioned that almost all the tickets were sold out (VIP was completely sold out). We were allowed to buy merchandise and there were some chairs where Lulu and Hiyori (another kaigai idol who served as the opening act) served us cake and spoked with us for a while. They also sign some autographs

The Wotas were practicing the chants before the event. There's a guy who usually creates the chants and guides us through them; he's amazing!! Another person was also handing out Chekis of us with our friends. This is the picture I took with my friend!! (We both met because we're fans of AKB48, that's why we wrote it, haha. Our uchiwas are also from AKB and another group. Mine is Tomochin from AKB48 and Mirin from Dempagumi on the other side. His has Mayuyu from AKB48 and Hayate from Lovesick)

I was also going to meet another friend at the event, but unfortunately she couldn't make it. I still asked Lulu if she could sign a drawing I'm going to give her and a cheki I bought for her

At 5pm the rest of the people started to arrive, the event started at 6pm, there were no assigned seats, but since we arrived early we were able to get to the front very close to the stage

Lulu and Hiyori started singing some covers; they have a unit together, but I don't remember the name, sorry!! They were also selling merchandise together. I couldn't tell you exactly which songs they sang, haha, even though I knew most of them, I have a bad memory!! I don't remember the order, but I do remember they sang "Twintails Until Age 20" by Kyurushite (I love that song🥹😭)

Afterwards, Hiyori sang 5 songs solo; 4 covers (opening and ending themes) and her original song!! (She made us choose if we were team cat or team dog, and during the chant we had to meow or bark hahaha). This is the third time I've seen her at an event; she's really really good!! Then Lulu started. To be honest, I'm not a huge fan of hers; I only support her because I want to follow the idol experience!!! She's very pretty and talented, but her songs aren't really my style, haha. But they're still quite enjoyable!!! Since I'm not a big fan, I don't know which of her own songs she sang (the more the event went on, the more surprised I was by the number of original songs she has—when did she come up with so many?!?!?!), but I remember she sang (not in order):

• Pikko Pokko
• Tsugi mofu
• Taiga! Faibo! Waipa!
• Yura yura is Endless (main song of the show)
• Tomaranai Bit

She alternated between covers and original songs. Of the covers, I'll highlight Skeleton Orchestra and Lilia, Otokonoko Chan, and Balalaika!!!!!! (I love, love, love that song; it's by Kosumi Koharu, my favorite member of Momusu/Hello! Project). She said that Balalaika was the inspiration for Yura Yura, although they only resemble each other in the circus theme, hahaha. Although in the MV, she did make a reference to Balalaika

Before singing balalaika, she showed us a video! It was a tribute video of her entire idol career; she's been wanting to be an idol for about 10 years now. It was a very emotional video!

But before the video, her staff and Hiyori gave her a cake, we sang "Happy Birthday" to her, and we took a picture of the event!! (The cake was Neru from Nanimono, one of her favorite groups)

Then she sang Yura Yura and did an encore!! The only bad thing is that in the setlist (I'll leave you the Spotify playlist, by the way) she promised to sing Otahen Anthem and she didn't!!! I really love that song, it's Riamu Yumemi's solo from Idolmaster (ironically, the pink-haired girl who's in the wallpaper, haha) and it's a shame she didn't sing it!!! She sang it on her tour, but unfortunately I couldn't go to that concert. I really wanted to hear it!!! Oh well, it doesn't matter, hahaha

Setlist!!!

After that, a line formed to get tickets from her, and the event ended. I didn't get one because it was already late, and the line was incredibly long! She said she was also going to raffle off a cardboard cutout she used at other concerts, but I'm not sure if she actually did

I had a lot of fun! Even without being a fan, it was a very special experience. She sang some great songs, and her singing, dancing, and overall performance skills were very professional! I'm sure she'll do very well in this; she already has a very solid fan base, and she's very good at what she does. Please go and support her!!
