I haven’t and WONT play bo7 ever. The new ones suck
I love most of the games from cod, even defending the ones people hated. I remember bo4 getting hate and I loved it, defended that one and I still think it was better then some of other ones people liked.
Mw 2019 had a good campaign and a meh multiplayer but that was a big new thing at the time with sliding and all of that, I enjoyed that one.
Black ops Cold War was the last one I bought. I also enjoyed it though it felt like a reskin of mw with the multiplayer. Had a good campaign and an enjoyable multiplayer, gave them the benefit of a doubt due to Covid and having to switch teams.
After that one there wasn’t any excuse, the games went down hill, hugely

As someone who enjoys the multiplayer of CoD and has gamepass I don't think Black Ops 7 is that bad for people who enjoy the multiplayer. As they finally have playlists with less SBMM which is amazing and they have added some quality of life features like weapon build codes and prestige camos. And are promising more post launch content than MWIII (2023) had which is great. But the thing is Activision probably only let the devs remove SBMM because of Battlefield 6 taking players. But honestly if I didn't have gamepass I probably still would have gotten the game as for me it's a lot better than BO6. Which I didn't play much after launch and if I didn't have gamepass wouldn't have brought the game as it had less content than MWIII and trash maps. I would say mindlessly buying the new CoD every year is stupid as some years are better than others. And you don't want to buy a game for full price and only play it for like a year then never touch it again. I still hop on MWIII and even older CoDs from time to time. Any way I'd say buying CoD is like buying a new phone its fine every once in a while but every year is insane unless you generate income from it. Also people should get the game on disc as $110 aud for CoD alone should be illegal instead get it for like $80 aud on disc. Idk if its cheaper every where physically but in Australia it is cheaper at many stores. Also you can get BF6 for cheaper as well on disc. And finally a lot of people are still on PS4 and Xbox One and sadly Arc Raiders and Battlefield 6 aren't on those platforms although it makes sense as they take advantage of the new hardware. Also I feel bad for all the campaign players who should just buy an Xbox 360 along side Battlefield Bad Company and Black Ops 2 as the campaigns for the two franchises respectively this year have been insanely rough and would make a sane man want to lather themselves up in some batter and jump into a giant deep fryer to avoid the depth of misery one gets by merely seeing the first ten seconds of those god awful campaigns. Campaigns that had to have been made by aliens who have no idea what makes a human's personality different to that of a plastic toy doll that is sitting in a box at your local Kmart waiting for a child that has not yet heard of these awful campaign experiences. But yeah in my opinion BO7 is okay probably not as good as Battlefield 6 but if you can get the game for less than the digital price and aren't thinking of getting the at best mediocre offering that the studio that brought us Modern Warfare II (2022) the worst CoD in recent memory is cooking up for 2026 then it may be worth it if you do enjoy modern CoD. Especially if you can't play Battlefield 6 on your current hardware.

Fr. I thifted the og BO and I fear that was peak and I didn't even watch any gameplay of the new ones
