i’ve been trying to cut together the footage from last weekend and movie maker keeps
lagging so hard i can hear the audio before the video moves. i don’t think it’s supposed
to do that.

i spent an hour trying to add one transition and my computer started making this loud
clicking noise and i thought it was going to catch fire.:/
if i disappear it's because i threw the whole tower out the window.

Hi, I edit movies, videos and stuff.
Movie Maker is discontinued so maybe that's why it keeps crashing.
Honestly, if you're gonna use a video editing software just jump ship and leave movie maker, here are some free alternatives.
CapCut is actually pretty good and user friendly, I suggest that.
If your computer can handle it (it's not too crazy but if it struggles with Movie Maker it might not work), then definitely use DaVinci Resolve, it's literally the best editing software for most things you'll ever do.
And lastly, if you need something that almost any computer can run try Shotcut (or if your on windows you can also use VSDC Free Video Editor).
youre the best dude
