Introduction

Hello,

I am writing this to give a brief introduction as to who I am. I am a late 20's communist who has recently taken to putting my thoughts online. On other social media platforms I have gained some traction with my posting, especially on more forum-like sites like Reddit, but it all feels a bit too impersonal.

The internet in general has become very monotonous and algorithm driven, and the way I interact with the internet has changed as well. I comment on things given to me by a feed. I consume things given to me in that way too. While it's convenient and keeps me up to date with the news, it also deprives me a certain level of inwards reflection and personability in the things I interact with. It is, to be frank, consumerist in nature.

That's why I like this site. It's emptier than others, but it may as well act as a series of personal sites and blogs attached only by a shared domain name. Tumblr used to be similar to that in my opinion, but that was a long time ago, far before the Yahoo purchase and subsequent fumble.

I realize this has turned into more of a ramble than an introduction, but there isn't much to be said that isn't already on my profile. Check that out if you're interested in my more niche or specific interests. Hint: the book section is to be expected.

Thanks for reading.

P.S. I'll be blogging in all red. This is in reference to Marx's last published edition of 'Neue Rheinische Zeitung' dubbed 'The Red Issue'. Here's the wikipedia article on it: Wikipedia Link
